　　1995年，P!nk被淘汰加入Basic Instinct组合后，又加入了RB女组合Choice，她们寄了许多样本唱片带给各大唱片公司，最终被LaFace唱片公司签约。LaFace唱片公司安排Choice到亚特兰大总部在一间木屋里头接受体力与声音上的密集训练。1997年12月，Choice在LaFace唱片公司的年终耶诞派对上演出，LaFace唱片公司的总裁L.A.Reid让P!nk做个人发展 。

　　1999年，P!nk与Babyface等创作人共同创作，为戴瑞西蒙的歌曲《Just To Be Loving You》谱写了副歌。在几个月之内，Pink创作完成了《Cant Take Me Home》中的一部分歌曲，并与EMI签下创作合约 。
