摘要：艺术专业在理工科高校文化建设中的价值在于为校园文化奠定一个持续、稳定的专业化艺术“能量源”。但在“工具理性”过分膨胀的时代背景下，高校多囿于“工具人”

的培养，忽视艺术审美与多样性学术生态对人的深刻影响，从而造成理工类专业与人文艺术类专业之间缺乏应有的融合。为更好地发挥公共艺术教学价值，提升校园文化的品位与精神内涵，理工科高校应通过艺术学科的专业教学、专业创作和艺术活动，构建“多维度的艺术素质教育”，培养“一专多能的复合型艺术人才”，形成艺术专业教育、艺术素质教育与理工科高校大学文化建设共同繁荣的良好局面。

Value and Schoolrunning Model of Arts Major in the

Cultural Development of Universities

—A Case Study of Southwest Jiaotong University

Abstract： The value of arts major is to provide a sustainable and stable “energy source” of professional arts in the cultural development of science and engineering universities. But in the background of excessive expansion of “instrumental rationality”， universities focus on skill training and meanwhile ignore the profound influence of artistic appreciation and the diversity of academic disciplines on students. This phenomenon is attributable to the lack of proper fusion between science majors and humanities ones. In order to give full play to the value of the public arts education， improve the grade of the campus culture and spirit connotation， science and engineering universities may build a “multidimensional artistic quality education” and cultivate “interdisciplinary arts talents with many skills and proficient in one” through professional teaching in arts， professional creation and artistic activities. Therefore， universities enjoy prosperity in the artistic professional education， artistic quality education and the cultural development of science and engineering universities at the same time.

在理工科高校创办艺术专业是一项很艰难的事业。这种艰难是一种伴随着长期被质疑、被边缘的坚忍与跋涉，这种坚忍与跋涉不仅需要一种铁杵磨针的精神，还需要一种舍我其谁的自觉与自信，因为艺术教育在人类文化发展史和教育史中从来都不是可有可无的鸡肋。从中国古代的乐教、诗教传统到近代蔡元培先生的以美育代宗教的教育理念，从西方古希腊时代的艺术与和谐到现代的审美文化都折射出了艺术教育的恒久光芒。

西南交通大学学报（社会科学版）第16卷第5期甘霖艺术专业在高校文化建设中的价值与办学模式——以西南交通大学为例理工科高校创办艺术专业为何步履艰难？究其原因主要是因为在“工具理性”过分膨胀的时代背景下，高校多囿于“工具人”的培养，忽视了艺术审美与多样性学术生态对人的深刻影响。尤其在理工科高校中，理工学科与人文艺术学科之间往往缺乏应有的交流与融合，甚至长期画地为牢、老死不相往来。理工学科的师生大多把艺术教育等同于课外文艺活动，认为那是可有可无的娱乐消遣，艺术学科的师生也不愿意主动接触自然科学，认为自然科学过于枯燥和缺乏诗意。长此以往便产生了学术的隔阂与彼此的误读。其实，艺术与科学在真理面前是相通的，只是艺术的真理喜欢蕴藏在形象、情感等感性表达之中，而科学的真理是通过概念、推理等理性方式展现。可以这样说——追求人类真善美的艺术与探索宇宙自然秩序的科学始终都是人之双足、凤之双翼。
